Garden Lover Spotlight

This is an American Beautyberry plant that belongs to one of our beloved customers, Amy Bott. This variety of beautyberry plant is native to the southeastern United States and reaches on average 1-2 meters in height. Birds, such as the Northern Bobwhite, and white-tailed deer enjoy nibbling on the plant throughout the fall and winter seasons when they can find nothing else. Some butterfly species also enjoy the plant! The berries can be turned into wine or jelly, and the plant itself has been found to be a natural mosquito and tick repellant.
